Candice Kass

Advocating for and shining a light on a new generation of talent.

Candice has worked in the events and marketing industry for over 17 years within associations, public sector, and publishing.

As a seasoned event professional, she possesses an awareness of staying abreast of the latest trends in events, venues, and sectors. She actively shares this knowledge within her network and among her teams, fostering participation and instilling confidence.

Her experience includes the successful delivery of a diverse range of events, including awards ceremonies, product launches, regional and hybrid events, as well as international conferences.

Central to her approach is collaboration and thought leadership, guiding her efforts to tailor content and event design to meet audience needs. She prioritises keeping every member of the project team well-informed, engaged, and clear on their respective roles, ensuring the seamless and successful delivery of all events.

This is where Candice feels her expertise translate into her role as a Fellow of the IEM:

“I have worked with committees, chairs and trustees in academia, so I understand the need to ensure joined-up thinking, the importance of consistent messaging and understanding the needs of its members at every level, as well as being the voice of the industry. I am a strong believer in self-discovery and personal development and having worked within two membership organisations – the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Institute of School Business Leadership – I understand the workings and dedication required to ensure members are listened to, informed and their roles are understood within the wider sector.”

Candice is an active member of the Association of Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO), member of the UKEVENTS Skills,Training & Education shadow board and project lead for the Events Apprenticeships Programme.

She regularly contributes to industry articles, events, and panel discussions.

In her spare time, Candice jumps out of perfectly good aeroplanes!
