Purpose Programme: Laura Rossignoli

As part of our commitment to supporting the events profession, we offer free enrolment to all our members on our Purpose Programme and we are talking to those people who have taken part about how it was for them.

This is what Laura Rossignoli, Communications Manager at European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), had to say…

Q Why did you sign up to the programme?
A It was recommened to me, and I was about to start a new job and a new role, compared to what I knew, coupled with never really knowing what my purpose was or really means. So, thought why not.

Q Was it what you expected?
A I don’t really know how to answer this, as I don’t think I really had any expectations. I didn’t really grasp the concept of a purpose other than thinking we should all have one.

Q What did you get out of the programme?
A A broader understanding of purpose. That not everyone has one and even those that do should always be rethinking and validating. I was introduced to knew ways of thinking and seeing how different thoughts and ideas can be combined, and that purpose doesn’t just fit into a definition or a square box.

Q What would you say to someone considering signing up to the programme?
A Commit and really think about what is being shared and how it applies to you. There can be additional work, try to at least read through it all and go in with an open mind.

The next cohort starts on the 14th October.
